Eat Pray Love

It is a season of colours for Indians. With festivities around the corner, this year let us think of playing with a different kind of colour. No gulal or dry colour, no water balloons, just colourful threads.....colourful threads that entwine to make our memory cloak.

Some say memories are the mental scrapbook that our mind designs and maintains. Some say, it is a patchwork of various events. There is also a theory that memory is responsible for the way one behaves and I am not referring to the process of remembering and forgetting here. I simply believe that memory is a cloak that we weave with colourful threads. Each event is a yarn - the happy days resembling bright colours and the not-so happy ones becoming the dull or darker shades. We weave our cloak with these yarns that are (lovingly or maybe otherwise!!!) produced at the end of each moment in our life.

One thing that can't be denied is the fact that memories, good or bad, stay with us for ever. So...isn't the onus on us to make sure that all our memories are made of those events that we want happening in our lives???? Don't we all deserve a cloak that looks bright and happy???? If yes, then why should we not dip our memory thread into our favourite colours????

It isn't that difficult once we decide to live life as per our terms and conditions. Life is mostly made up of eating, praying and loving. Eating good food (sometimes other people's brains too!!!), praying sincerely for things to work out (for us and not work out for others!!!!), and loving (others and I,Me,Myself!!!). As has been rightly said by someone "it is all in the state of mind." If we wish positive things to happen to us, they surely will. The same holds good for pessimism too. And....those who see the brighter side of life will invariable spin colourful threads and weave a cloak so magnificient looking that it it will definitely turn heads when worn.

I am trying hard to dip my threads into bright hues by eating hard, praying harder and loving hardest. What about you????
